Helical gearboxes and gearmotors are universal mechanisms for correcting torques and rotational speeds. Their versatility is the reason for their widespread use in many branches of industrial production.

These units are designed for efficient operation throughout the day or with interval pauses. They are adapted for continuous and cyclic operation and are able to function at different angles and directions of shaft rotation.

The design features of gearboxes imply that noise and vibration levels may be elevated, but this is not considered a defect when using electric motors. For example, high noise and vibration levels can occur under the following conditions:

• 3000 rpm, when used with any gearbox ratio;
• 1500 rpm when used with gearbox ratios that are less than 15;
• when operating single-phase electric motors (with supply voltage 220V) at any speed of rotation.
