Gearboxes that run without oil!

Today we received a request from our customer TPZ JSC to manufacture a complete set of spare parts for the Ts2U-250-25-25-16P-U1 gearbox. They sent a photo of the nameplate, it clearly shows that the manufacturer is our company, the engineer had a reasonable question: «What happened?». - because the label showed that the gearbox was manufactured in 2020 (according to statistics, our gearboxes work without problems for at least 15 years).

As it turned out, the gearbox was not filled with oil and it worked in intensive mode, attention, 2 years, of course, eventually the gears failed due to overheating and lack of basic maintenance. (The gearbox started to malfunction, there was noise and knocking, it was stopped, opened up and it turned out to be dry, no oil had been put in and it was working)

Now we can proudly say that our gearboxes can work even without oil and basic maintenance, I wonder if imported gearboxes can do that?

New projects: Power section of the ventilation system

An order has been received for the design and manufacture of a gearbox with an electric motor on a frame assembly. The idea of the project was to replace the imported electric motor that was driving the fan of the system. Our designers carried out the necessary calculations and made the replacement with an electric motor and a single-stage gearbox. The result is the design shown in the sketch below:

Gearboxes for Africa

In January 2016, a supply agreement was signed with OJSC Rusal for the delivery of tropical version of TsDN-630 and TsDN-710 gearboxes, the gearboxes were shipped by sea to New Guinea in Africa. Special attention was paid to anti-corrosion treatment of housings, as well as external parts of the gearboxes: shafts, bolted joints, as well as conservation lubrication.

Non-standard gearbox for the Republic of Kazakhstan

LLP «SAR-SO» (Republic of Kazakhstan) at the end of 2008 applied to Russian factories with a technical task to produce a non-standard gearbox. According to the calculations of designers of «SAR-SO» LLP the gearbox, which was to be used in their installation, RM-850 with a gear ratio of 70, but not a single plant in Russia was not ready to fulfil such an order, or the cost, which they asked for the «non-standard» exceeded the standard one in 2 or more times.
At the end of 2008, at the request of a customer from the Republic of Kazakhstan, the designers of Izhmsk Plant Ltd. developed and manufactured the PM-850 gearbox with non-standard gear ratio of 70 at a price only 20% higher than the standard one. The customer was very satisfied.
Of course, this is not an isolated case and there are many such orders for non-standard equipment both in Russia and abroad, with what specialists of Izhmsk Plant Ltd. successfully cope.

This proves once again that it is possible and necessary to co-operate with small enterprises in the field of machine building and equipment supply.
