Worm gearboxes and gear motors are general purpose devices used to regulate torques and rotational speeds. Due to their adaptability, these devices are actively used in various production sectors.
These mechanisms are designed to operate continuously for 24 hours a day or with periodic interruptions. They can operate in continuous and interval modes, while the shafts can rotate in any direction and in different planes.
Noise and vibration of a geared motor caused by its design features and the use of electric motors are not considered defects. Thus, increased noise and vibration can be observed when:
- 3000 rpm, combined with any gear ratio;
- 1500 rpm, combined with gear ratios of less than 15;
- when using single-phase electric motors with a supply voltage of 220V, regardless of the number of revolutions.
